Greene County High School speech competitors will showcase their talents at a Fine Arts Festival Sunday, May 5, at 2 pm in the high school auditorium.
Performers will include:
Bill Wright– After Dinner Speaking “Too Many Tigers”
Esther Van Horn– Lit Program “It Should Be Her & Barbie Monologue”
Brooklyn Roberts–Storytelling “Sticks”
Lucy VanderLinden, Leah McCormick, Savannah Lansman, Ella Ostrander, Natalie Towers, Evelyn Snyder, London Harris, Ella Mohr, and Makenna Dzuris–Choral Reading-“Carla’s Sandwich”
Lily Hinote, Karlee Fagerlind–Duet “Tortured Harmony”
Ava Schilling–Acting- “Die Down”
Daniel Strawn, Trystan Naylor, Bill Wright, Wes Anderson– “Viva La Vida/ Halleluia & Creep”
Leah McCormick–Prose ” Spiders are Scary. It’s Ok to be Afraid”
Maggie Mikkelsen–Review “The Murder of Mr. Wickham”
Gavin VanderLinden–Review “Rogue One”
The festival will conclude with a showing of “Very Stellar,” the short film selected as Critic’s Choice at the Iowa All State Speech Festival. Creators and actors in the film are Nathan Ausberger, Jack Hansen, Gavin VanderLinden, Bill Wright and Daniel Strawn.
The public is welcome. Admission is free.
